Eutelsat KabelKiosk, the headend-in-the-sky platform for cable networks in Europe, has announced the addition of two more HD channels – Trace Sports HD and Trace Urban HD – to its line-up.
The two channels are part of the HD Extra package which now comprises eight stations. HD Extra subscribers will receive the new channels at no additional cost. To receive the new channels, subscribers need to perform a rescan on the receiver.
Sports, documentaries and lifestyle are the focus of the Trace Sports HD channel, while Trace Urban HD specialises in hip hop, r’n'b, soul, dance, reggae and world music.
“Innovative content is among the most important success factors for operators. The ever-growing, attractive HDTV offering from KabelKiosk forms an important basis for the successful marketing of the infrastructure provider in a highly dynamic competitive environment,” said Martina Rutenbeck, managing director of Eutelsat visAvision GmbH.
“We are delighted with our partnership with KabelKiosk, which allows us to expand the audience in Germany with our new HD channels. On Trace Sports we show real insider stories and reports from the real lives of men and women who make our hearts beat faster. The start on the KabelKiosk platform, with its enormous range offers us excellent opportunities to increase the number of spectators,” said Olivier Laouchez, Trace Chairman and CEO.
