dm 800se sim 2.10 clock problem

i have just got this from a mate and it works great
but on standby the clock looses time, as soon as it's turned
on it resets at the correct time and iv'e checked everything
and the settings are ok, i dont know if it's a common problem
and is there a fix for it, can anyone throw any light on this problem
