ok my friend, make the necessary changes and then inform the forum about your progress.
Be aware that there is a special satellite cable that you have to use and don't buy just a tv cable.
It's a little more expensive but has better insulation and ofcourse gives better results.

theres no way i can try out the box at a friends so im going to get some new satellite cable and try that it may be a few days until i reply but i thank all of you for your help and time

A sat cable it's better to be without cuts or to be connected with thinner - thicker cable.
What is this connector which joining the cable that you have?
Is it a diseqc switch or something else?

It would be very convenient if you have a friend with a receiver in order to test it in your home to find if your dish installation is ok.

Hi i had a quick check last night im wondering if its a cable issue as the cable from dish is joined via a connector to a thicker cable that runs to the reciever coyld this be an issue

If you can't watch any free channel, then propably you have problem with your dish alignment or you have a faulty lnb or a cut wire or just you don't have the correct settings on your receiver.

It would be better to give us more info about your dish setup, cables, lnb, satellite configuration on the dreambox in order to help you further.

Hello

If you have signal, then you can watch FTA channels.

If I'm not wrong, you have only one dish with one lnb to Astra 28E (sly dish).

Make a factory reset, and setup again your dreambox.

First set the Astra 28E as the only satellite you have and then make a scan.
After that, you will be able to watch at least the FTA channels.
If not, then you have problem with your dish or lnb or cable.

If you can watch FTA channels, then you can proceed to instal cccam and after that to test a C-line.

sir you are correct,but im not getting fta so will do a factory reset tonight when im home thank you for your help.

hi yes signal is strong but as stated nothing showing im thinking if theres a problem with the dish or at least the cable from the dish,but surely if that was the case i wouldnt get a signal.

Not getting fta channels not a thing i must be doing something wrong is this the right setup-cable from sly dish to cable in on dreambox- dm connected to laptop and router-cline in var/ect/camfig.thank you for your continue patience

Do you have problem with the channels?
Can you watch FTA channels?

Make a rescan on all satellites you have to be sure or load a ready made list as Vhannibal settings.

Can you see any addon or plugin in downloads? (from the server of the image that the receiver can download)

I make these questions in order to understand if the connection is right or not.

Also, there is a test that you can do (in network settings) to find if the connection is ok.

If your problem is the c-line and the lines from satlover are not working, you can make a search on the net to find a free test line for 24h to test it.

Hello once again thank you for your time all seems connected in dcc havent seen any downloads ill have a check when im home,signal strengh is high alrhough no lock ive tested a lot of lines only one seemed to appear with info but all saying channel removed cheers

done all of above nothing happening tried about thirty lines so dont know whats the problem
