mine tuner is also ALPS with Rev. M printed on its Circuit chip and 801A printed on it.

No I haven't got those problems but I experience low signals on all channels since this winter has passed and think that maybe this would be nice upgrade to my DM800hd?
Maybe just LNB needs change, or as I heard lately that old cable line if it's more than 20meters needs change to new one that would also boost signal!

why, are you having same problem with astra n1 channels on 28.2e?

Btw, Astra N1 is mainly UK footprint.

For me, there is no problem with Tuner performance but with its limitation. L tuner not able to tune High symbol rate transponders.

The problem is the Tuner I got was a EARDATEK M Tuner, this Tuner has Tune Failed problems with Astra N1 28.2E Channels.

The best Tuner for Sky UK is ALPS Rev M Tuner.

I change my L tuner with Rev. M yesterday. I am amazed to see it have very improved quality and boost the signal strength significantly

Rev M is the latest tuner, but there will always be some faulty ones like mines.

its an intermittent problem, and it affect channels on the same transponder or satellite. its on and off but only happens on a few channels on on the same transponder or satellite.

ordered a replacment tuner anyway, im 99.9% sure its a faulty tuner.

I have to the conclusion its a faulty tuner, because I have 2 other dm800 that works ok from the same lnb. im gonna ask for a replacement tuner from the supplier.

This happened also to me.
First i tried several solution.
Than i realized that the cable to the dish was damaged.
I substituted it and now it seem Ok....... Or it is ok till today afternoon....

I remember always Murphy's Law is present everywhere
